ISAT 2012 – www.iist.ac.in 2012 – IIST ISAT 2012 – ISAT 2012 Exam for Admission into Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology

ISAT is a common entrance test for the admission into the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). ISAT is conducted to offer B.Tech. programmes for the IIST.

Seat for ISAT 2012 Admission:

  1. B. Tech. in Aerospace Engineering: 60
  2. B. Tech. in Avionics: 60
  3. B. Tech. in Physical Sciences: 36

There are total numbers of 156 for the admission into undergraduate programmes in IISAT for the academic year 2012-2013.

B. Tech. Programmes at IIST 2012:

Aerospace Engineering: To develop specialized skills in Flight Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Thermal and Propulsion, Structure and Design and Manufacturing Science.

Avionics: To develop specialized skills in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), RF & Microwave Communications, Antenna, Power Electronics, Microelectronics, Control systems, etc.

Physical Sciences: To develop specialized skills in Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences, Solid Earth Science, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Remote 8 Sensing and GIS and Chemical Systems.

ISAT 2012 Exam Date:

ISAT 2012 exam date has been finalized on 21st April, 2012. Exam time is 9 AM to 12 Noon. It is the tentative date for IIST ISAT 2012 exam date.

ISAT 2012 Exam Centre:

ISAT 2012 exam will be conducted in 22 cities across India. These are:

  1. Ahmedabad
  2. Bangalore
  3. Bhubaneswar
  4. Bhopal
  5. Calicut
  6. Chandigarh
  7. Chennai
  8. Dehradun
  9. Delhi
  10. Dispur
  11. Hyderabad
  12. Jaipur
  13. Kolkata
  14. Lucknow
  15. Mumbai
  16. Nagpur
  17. Patna
  18. Port Blair
  19. Ranchi
  20. Thiruvananthapuram
  21. Varanasi
  22. Visakhapatnam

Candidates can choose any 3 different cities in the order of preference for appearing in the Admission Test.

ISAT 2012 Exam Fee:

General and OBC Male candidates have to pay Rs. 600. General and OBC Female candidates have to pay Rs. 300. SC, ST, PD candidates (Male – Female) have to pay Rs. 300 only as the examination fee of ISAT 2012.

ISAT 2012 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates belonging to general or OBC categories must have born on or after 1st October, 1987. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories must have born on or after 1st October, 1982.

Candidates should have minimum marks 70% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent to apply for www.iist.ac.in 2012.

How to Apply for IISAT ISAT 2012:

Eligible candidates have to apply only through official website of ISAT 2012 in the prescribed format.

You need to access the website: www.iist.ac.in/isat2012 and click over Online Registration. Fill the online form with accurate information click ‘Submit’ button.

ISAT 2012 Hall Ticket:

ISAT 2012 hall ticket will be made available to download online before written test. Candidates can download ISAT 2012 Admit card from 2nd March to 10th April, 2012.

Candidates must carry ISAT 2012 call letter to appear in the written exam. Candidates can print or download IIST ISAT 2012 hall ticket logging onto the site using login ID and password. No hard copy of ISAT Admit card 2012 will be issued by the ISAT office.

Candidates are advised to carry other necessary documents along with ISAT hall ticket 2012 during the written test. They can see ISAT 2012 exam date, exam centre, exam time etc. downloading hall ticket.

ISAT 2012 Results:

ISAT 2012 results will declare the performance of candidates in written exam. ISAT rand list 2012 can be checked through visiting www.iist.ac.in 2012. Candidates will get to know their performance checking ISAT 2012 results. ISAT rank list 2012 or ISAT result 2012 will be declared by 23rd May, 2012.

ISAT 2012 Counselling:

ISAT 2012 counselling will be exercised on the basis of IIST ISAT rank list 2012. Details of IIST ISAT counselling 2012 will be published through the official website after the announcement of rank list.

ISAT 2012 Important Dates:

Online registration starts from 1st November, 2011. Last date of online registration is 31st December, 2011. Last date of remitting fees is 6th January, 2012. Last date of receiving Institute Copy of Challan is 16th January, 2012. Candidates can check status of application from 24th February, 2012.

ISAT hall ticket download will be made available from 2nd March to 10th April, 2012. IIST ISAT exam date is 21st April, 2012. www.iist.ac.in results 2012 will be announced on 23rd May, 2012.

About IIST:

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is a ‘Deemed to be University’ in India. It was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 by the Department of Space, Government of India to offer undergraduate (Avionics, Aerospace Engineering and Physical Sciences), post-graduate and doctoral programmes in niche areas of space science, technology and applications.

Presently, IIST has about 700 students and 80 faculty members. It has signed MoU with USRA (Universities Space Research Association) of USA and California Institute of Technology (CALTECH) for exchange of students and faculty.
