Central Government issued a notification F. No. 1/4/2006-RRB dated 25th March 2008 in exercise of powers conferred by subsection (I) of section 23 A of the Regional Rural Bank’s Act 1976 (21 of 1976) to amalgamate the two RRBs i.e. Aurangabad Jalna Gramin Bank and Thane Gramin Bank in single one - Maharashtra Gramin Bank w.e.f. 25.03.2008.
