Education Common Entrance Test 2012 (EDCET 2012) is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission to B. Ed. course in colleges of Education in A. P. for the academic year 2012-13.

• Last Date of Receiving EDCET 2012 Application Form: 23rd April, 2012

• EDCET 2012 Exam Date: 8th June, 2012

Ms. No. 72 (SE Trg-1) Dept Dt: 5th July, 2004 for admission into B. Ed. regular courses in Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh State.

www.edcet2012.info Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have a passed degree of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Sc.(Home Science)/B.C.A./B.B.M. with at least 50% marks (40% for reserved category) from a recognized university to apply for Education Common Entrance Test 2012. Appeared candidates in final year examination are also eligible to apply for Ed. CET 2012.

EDCET 2012 Age:

19 years as on 1st July, 2012

EDCET 2012 Exam Pattern:

There will be 150 MCQs for two hours in the written test of Ed. CET 2012.

• Part A – General English – 25 questions for 25 marks
• Part B – 1. General Knowledge – 15 questions for 15 marks
• 2. Teaching Aptitude – 10 questions for 10 marks

Part C: candidates have to choose one of the following subjects which contain 100 questions for 100 marks.

• 1. Mathematics – 100 questions for 100 marks
• 2. Physical Science: a) Physics 50 questions for 50 marks b) Chemistry 50 questions for 50 marks
• 3. Biological Sciences: a) Botany – 50 questions for 50 marks b) Zoology – 50 questions for 50 marks
• 4. Social Studies: a) Geography 35 questions for 35 marks b) History 30 questions for 30 marks c) Civics 15 questions for 15 marks d) Economics 20 questions for 20 marks
• 5. English Methodology: 100 questions for 100 marks

www.edcet2012.info How to Apply:

Keep ready a scanned copy of passport photograph and signature. The file size of scanned copy should not exceed 2 MB. After the final submission, you will get an Application Number for the future reference. Now, take print out of two copies of filled application form. Send one copy of Application Form to the “Convener, Ed.CET-2012, Examination Block, A.U Engineering College campus, Visakhapatnam - 530 003 after affixing attested photograph along with a crossed DD of Rs. 150 drown from any nationalized bank in favour of “Secretary, APSCHE” payable at Hyderabad.
