Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) released an admission notification through: www.isical.ac.in for session 2012-13. The notification is released for admission into B. Stat. (Hons.), B. Math. (Hons.), M. Stat., M. Math., M. S. (QE), M. S. (LIS), M. Tech. (CS), M. Tech. (QROR) and Research Fellowships.

ISI Admission 2012 Important Dates:

  • Availability of ISI Admission 2012 Application Form and Prospectus: 31st January to 29th February, 2012
  • Last Date of Receiving Completed ISI Admission Test 2012 Application Form: 5th March, 2012
  • Indian Statistical Institute Admission 2012 Exam Date: 13th May, 2012

ISI Admission 2012 Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

For 3-Year B. Stat. (Hons.): 10+2 of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with Mathematics and English

For 3-year B. Math. (Hons.): 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics and English

For 2-year M. Math.: 3-years Bachelor’s degree or a B.E./B. Tech. degree with Mathematics and an exceptionally strong background in Analysis and Abstract Algebra or a B. Stat./B. Math. Degree from the Indian Statistical Institute

For 2-year M. Stat.: same qualification as 2-year M. Math.

For 2-year Master of Science (M. S.) in Quantitative Economics: 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Physics or a B. Stat. degree from the Indian Statistical Institute or Engineering graduates

For 2-year Master of Science (M. S.) in Library and Information Science: 3-year bachelor degree in any discipline

For 2-year M. Tech. in Computer Science: Master degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Physics/Electronic Science/Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or any other

For 2-year M. Tech. in Quality, Reliability and Operations Research: Master’s degree in Statistics or Master’s degree in Mathematics with probability and Statistics as major subjects or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent

For 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods with Applications: 3-year Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):

  • Statistics
  • Quantitative Economics
  • Computer Science
  • Quality, Reliability and Operations Research
  • Physics and Applied Mathematics
  • Agriculture and Ecology
  • Sociology

www.isical.ac.in 2012 Application Form:

Indian Statistical Institute Admission 2012 prospectus and application form can be obtained from the offices of Indian Statistical Institute on the payment of Rs. 500 (Rs. 200 for reserved category) by DD in favour of “Indian Statistical Institute” payable at Kolkata.

Candidates have to send completed ISI Admission Test 2012 Application Form to the “Dean of Studies, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B. T. Road, Kolkata – 700108”.
