National Entrance Screening Test 2012 (NEST 2012) is conducted as an Entrance Test for admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS) Mumbai.

Educational Qualification: students should have a degree of 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% (55% marks for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate from a recognized board to apply for National Entrance Screening Test 2012. Appeared candidates for Class XII qualifying examination in 2012 may also apply for NEST 2012.
Age Limit: General and OBC candidates born date should be on or after 1st October, 1987 to apply for National Entrance Screening Test 2012. SC/ST/PD will get relaxation in age limit by 5 years.
Number of Seats: there are total number of 60 seats at NISER and 35 seats at UM-DAE CBS.

Male applicants from general and OBC categories have to pay Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for SC/ST/PD and Female candidates). The application fee must be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of NEST payable at Mumbai from any bank or by electronic mail transfer to NEST account.

NEST Online Application Form 2012:
Candidates can register themselves at: www.nestexam.in by their email ID. They will get a confirmation of registration. After that, they can proceed with filling NEST 2012 Online Application Form.
NEST 2012 Admit Card:
NEST 2012 Admit card will be dispatched from April 15, 2012. Eligible candidates can download NEST Admit card 2012 from www.nestexam.in also from 15th April, 2012.
NEST Results 2012:
NEST result 2012 for written test will be displayed at www.nestexam.in on 18th June, 2012. Candidates may check NEST 2012 result by entering their application number or admit card number.
